1995 500 SL SRS Light

How long should this light stay on?
Mine stays on for about 60 seconds after start-up.

Join the club. Mine stays on longer than it should also and more than one thread has addressed the subject. Most times it seems to be a bad or dirty seat belt buckle, but a diagnostic check is really needed to find out. I haven't checked mine yet but will get it done one of these days.

Thanks. My fear is that the airbag contacts have oxidized, and at some point the light will not go off.
