Window Guide "Unglued" (ENGR693)
I replied to an old post by ENGR693 in the Tech Help forum, But this should probably be here:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showpost.php?p=1180211&postcount=1 It's about how to reglue metal window guides to glass. This was my reply: Gary, Did you ever get this sorted out? I had this problem about 15 years ago. I re-glued the block, but it came off again. I currently have the doors apart for new felts and have decided to fix the guide again! Need to know if window panes come out with blocks attached and what type of adhesive to use for a long term fix. Graham

Hey Graham, I used JB Weld to reattach the guides to the windows. Have not had a problem so far. I didn't use the quick set stuff as I wanted to make sure I have tiime to align and re-align if necessary. I gobbed the JBWeld in the slot on the guide and installed over the edge of the glass. I let it set up over night to be sure I got a good set prior to reinstalling the window. . Anyway...so far so good.
