Oooops, sorry!! All these time I thought it was ham signal. No wonder some gave me a dirty look while others just kept on driving. I thought they were being unfriendly.

I always honk .. I thought of something funny today....I am seeing young drivers driving the old 107's and old drivers in new SL's. Is this a pattern?

I will wave at any old car. Newer benz drivers will not wave to an old benz though.....generally.

I'm doing the secret hand signal now, too. I do the special "SEC hand signal."

I waved at another W124 with Euro Lights and stuff, and he gave me a dirty look... :confused:



I waved at an old man driving an SL600, and he waved back... Oh wait, that was my dad.:D

I live in Benz World in this part of SFLA, and daily when I pull out the 450 with the top down the newer SL's tend to notice, and I think they are thinking - "****-I am paying 2000 a month, and that jerk is obviously paid that one off by now ...(LOL) I love sittin in traffic next to a new SL, and having them ask me all about my car. I gotta tell ya, the 450's are so good looking in person high school kids ask me what is that ???!!! Yea I love it. $4 gallon @ 12 MPG (if I am lucky,,,) has it's privilages right??

Yeah, there's like about having that one accessory for YOUR car that most of those other schlubs out there DON'T

The title!

Maybe THAT should be our secret hand signal. We could just reach into the glove box, grab the title, and wave it proudly as we drive by!

Leave the title at home in the safe:eek: You should raise your pinky as you pass others to show you are the owner, not the bank.:D

Okay, maybe just a reasonable facsimilie of the title . . . . Pinky extended is good, too. I guess it's working out for The Don.

The 560SL draws a lot of attention, but in my area I get few waves (or other gestures) from other MB owners - unless it's another MB Club member. We get more "waves" from other Mini Cooper owners when we're out in the '06 MC-S.

My impression is that the older Mercedes owners (older CARS), are friendlier than the ones driving new ones. The latter seem to be more into the status of Mercedes, whereas those of us driving the older ones just love them for their inherent qualities.

Snobbishness and friendliness don't seem to go hand in hand.
