Secret hand signal
I was riding around last night with another forum member in their 560SL and noticed other SL drivers waving to us as we passed. They commented on what fun it was to be "in the SL club." I had to agree. Does anybody else get this type of reaction?
I've experienced the same on motorcycles ... more so on a Harley.
I used to get hand signals from drivers when I was out running. What does it mean when they flash their middle finger at you? Anybody?
Do SL members use all five fingers when making this gesture?
In my limited experience thus far, yes. The middle finger gesture I've gotten in the past was mostly from F150 drivers and TransAM drivers . . . .
SL drivers seem to be of a much higher caliber. |
While driving around in a VW bus or an air cooled bug you will always get a wave from the same type of cars. The people in the new bugs do not have a clue and never wave.
Pffft!
where the heck are you that people in SL's waived, down here, the only people who drive 107's are old folks who have owned them for like 2 decades. . .and I. . .secretive wave, shyt the are too geriatric for that kinda effort

Seizure World? Where's that? Is that where the people forget to change their oil?
Shhh.... Dont let out the secret SL Club gesture...
Actually, its common here in Sacramento. Pretty much all the SL drivers waive at eachother, unless they are super young, or dont care about the car. Hell, my dad got a wave from an SLR driver one day! |
Around here the Euro car drivers flash the high beams at each other.
When you drive an LBC (Little British Car) people in other LBCs not only wave at you when you go by, but stop to help when you (all too frequently) break down!
