Right side rear view mirror

Our '72 SL does not have the right side rear view mirror.

Has anyone added one to a car like ours that was not designed for it? Do I need just mirror or do I also need the front window track?

Sources - aftermarket or used?

Graham

I'll take a good pic of the area and you can see if it is different. I would think that since they were an option it should just be bolt on.

Here are the pics but you really don't need them. This is a '72 without the mirror. All you have to do is "carefully" unsnap the inner plastic. This reveals the screws to remove the outer cover. I you find a mirror try to make sure it has the inner cover with the hole for the adjuster and a good rubber seal.

Thanks for the info and pics rowdie. I will have to start looking for a good used mirror. I find it is needed when the top is up.
