97 sl500 convertable top controller

Well this started at the beginning of the season. Got car out of storeage and roll bar and convertable top/ hard top did not work. After dilligently looking at all threads tired to fix my self....No good....Removed hard top by hand but as roll bar was down could not get to converetable cover release bolt. According to Mitchell (2005 edition) roll bar had seperate controller....After tearing car apart I did not find it....Fianally took car to Mercedes and yes my model has roll bar, power window, seat belt lock and last but not least convertable top controls all in one unit located in passenger side storage pod under plastic. By the way the controller is $2500.00 dollars and not available and neither is a reman unit. I searched the web abd found BBA remanafacturing. Sent them my unit and 3 days and $450.00 later everything works.....Ta Da
