93 SL500 A/C stuck ON ???

I guess it could be worse seeing as how it's August and I live in Florida. But the climate control is stuck on Automatic, no matter what I do. I have to pull the fuse to get it to shut down.
Anybody ever run into that???

The entire climate controller module itself can fail, but more likely, one of the switches inside the controller has become un-soldered from the printed circuit board causing this problem. ( fatigue from normal use ) If you are adapt at soldering, you may be able to remove the controller and repair it yourself. There are previous posts in this forum on how to remove and repair the controller. Use the search tool.
