86 560SL HP 236 VS 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL HP 295
I am in europe and was flipping through Mercedes specs on other 560 engines and saw this http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=64229 listing compression @10:1 and HP @ 295.
Question; Is it the heads? can they swapped , if not can the engines be swapped? Thanks very much for any help John Compression ratio10.00:1 Compression ratio10.00:1 |

First question is what octane fuel is required to feed the euro engine.
A transplant is very possible. However, you'd have to consider emission compliance here in the US.

That depends on where you are located. No tests where I am located. |
