Caution: Four Seasons Receiver/Drier
I recently purchased a Four Seasons Receiver/Drier for my (sorta new) 83 380SL. After recovering from surgery (another story) I tried to put it in the car, only to find that the hole for the temperature sensor was not the same size as the sensor that was already in the car. Bad words and frustration aside, I chatted with the E-store that sold it to me. Short story is that there does not seem to be a replacement temperature sensor built to fit the Four Seasons Drier and the sensors that are built do not fit. (9.5mm for the OE part, ~4.5mm needed for the Four Seasons part).
If there is a temperature sensor that fits, I couldn't find it on the internet, nor could the two parts stores I went to. ![]() I am now waiting for a Behr Drier part and will probably discard the Four Season; chalking it up to experience. Perhaps others have had better luck with this manufacturer, but I intend to avoid them in the future.

i had the same problem earlier this year on my 81 380sl. The 4 Seasons drier does have a smaller opening for that switch. Its 6mm, vs 9.5 on the OE, and Santech makes one that fits.
I know because I ordered a new one for my Behr drier, and I had to send it back because it was too small. Yet it will come up as fitting a 380.
