Engine swap!
Anyone know if its possible to put a OM617.912 Diesel engine from a 1980,ish 123, 300D into a 1980s 300 SL Only ask, cause Im mad, and prefer Diesel engines!, but love the lines of the 80s SL cars:p

Given enough money, time and talent, you can fit a Cummins Turbodiesel into an Austin Healey Sprite. I can't begin to imagine the cost and time necessary for the conversion you are contemplating, but my approach would be to look at a diesel-equipped w116 as a potential donor, given their kinship to the r107.
