Replacing Idle Speed Control Valve Boots

The boot that connects the Idle Speed Control Valve to the throttle body on my 81 380sl is brittle and it has a small crack in it from prying valves out and pushing them in . So I was going to replace it and the other boot, which connects the valve to the cold start flange.

Before I do, however, I was wondering if the boot to throttle body will just lift up and off of a pipe on the throttle body, or if there's something else I need to consider. Also, I notice that the newer version of the boot to the cold start valve flange now has a vacuum line coming off of it, and I don't think the original one on my car had that, because I replaced it with a piece of heater hose a few years ago. If so, should I just plug the vaccuum line hole, or leave it open.
