r107 SL300 - locking issue

Recently my SL 300 has developed a strange issue , that of not allowing me to unlock from the outside the drivers door. I can lock it from the outside OK and I can unlock/lock the passenger door no issue. And if the hood is down I can reach inside the drivers door and unlock it from the central locking lever and relock it from the outside. Any clues welcome ?

Some Simple ( ha ha ha ha simple ) Problem with the Vacume Locking system most likely They also have a Electric lock system that locks the Pass door from the driver's door Key Is one or the other . the easy fix is to disconnect these Locks

Is the lock cylinder actually turning all the way to the unlock position when you turn the key? This could be a lubrication issue if it isn't. My SDL would allow me to LOCK, but not UN-Lock (key wouldn't turn past ~ 11 o'clock position).

An overnight soak with some spray grease designed for locks and some working back and forth in the morning restored operation of the lock cylinder.

I think the issue is actually terminal. It cant be fixed. You mays well sell it to me.
