passenger side seat controls

My mom has a 1990 300SL. The wooden panel that holds all of the seat controls on the passenger side is very loose nad falling off. How can I reconnect it. How much hp does this car have btw and are there any easy mods I could do to get more power out of it.

190hp@5700rpm.
There are a few things to try, i don't think anything will boost power a significant amount, not without some serious cash. Maybe a K&N airfilter or something, but it won't make much of a difference that you'll feel.
The wood trim panel, the small catches on the back side of the trim probably broke off. The 2 plastic brackets screw onto the back of the wood trim, you'll notice the inside is a layer of aluminum, to prevent the wood from splintering in an accident. The 2 brackets are available seperately. If you pull off the trim, if you look closely you'll see the part number on each one, they are easy to replace, fix it right up, and cheaply.
