119.972 diagnostics?
Yesterday I finally connected a fault code reader to my 500SL and how exciting - I can extract real time data, from battery voltage to injector timing - I can't wait to plot this. Oh, and no fault codes were stored either
![]() However, the only ECU module I could communicate with was the LH-SFI unit. Bear in mind my car was actually built in December '92 but I think MB changed the engine to the 972 in October/November, so maybe they didn't change some of the ECUs?? I've read that some systems are split analog/digital so perhaps some of my modules are Analog (bar the LH system)?? Perhaps it's best to contact the manufacturer of the fault code reader for their advice?? I'll let you know, but if anyone else has any more info then please let me know. Cheers Lea
