A/C Freeon Conversion for 107

As anyone with a 107 converted their A/C to the new type of freeon and if so, what were the results? I have a 560SL that is about to go in for servicing to RC-Imports and they dont' work with the old type of freeon and want to do a retrofit.

134a

Mine was converted before I bought it. It puts out OK. I wish the blower speed was faster, but thats not part of the conversion.

The repairs will be cheaper in the future.

I had mine converted about 4 or 5 years ago because the manafold went. The dealer only works on 134a (i think that is what it is called)

I did not notice much of a difference -- The SL has a small interior and the system is more than able to cope with it.

I often use the ac when the top is down -- in the city, stop and go. I do not think it gets the cold cold that it did with the r12. But it is up to the task
