dead battery
My battery is partially dead and does not have enough juice to unlock the trunk (where the battery is) any ideas to unlock the trunk? My keys doesn't work either. They only unlock the car doors and I can access my engine compartment.

get one of those charge through the lighter-socket chargers (they generally allow for a jump start too) and, once charged, open the trunk and get a new battery.
If you can access the engine compartment, you can also jump start from there -- there should be a positive terminal in the compartment.

You switchblade-type keys should also open the trunk manually...only the valet key doesn't.
And unless you've manually-locked the trunk via the key (clockwise turn where key slot is horizontal), you should be able to depress the keyslot with your finger and release the trunk.

I agree with G-BENZ. Unless you are trying to use the valet key, you should be able to use the key to open the trunk manually.
The feature of the trunk unlocking when you unlock the doors is vacuum driven and that vacuum is powered by an electric pump I understand... So I can see why you might not be able to just press the button and open the trunk, but inserting the key and pressing it while turned should do the trick. If you should decide to try to charge the battery from the lighter I believe the lighter is off when the ignition key is off so I wouldn't expect any result unless you have the key inserted and on when trying to charge it. Having the switch on might well consume all of the charge and have none left for the battery... Good Luck!

Thanks all, for the input, I am using the switchblade key. Followed the owners manual, still, trunk doesn't unlock. The dealership was no help. Told me to call roadside assistance. I will search for the positive terminal in the engine compartment when the rain lets up. If anyone knows where the terminal is located let me know.

It sounds stupid, but push IN on the key area.
When I first got mine I couldn't figure out how to open the trunk. Kept turning the key left, right ... expecting the trunk to pop. Use the key to unlock, and then push the button in. And my battery was dead a month ago, winter storage, that's how I got in.
