280SL Euro- Cloth Seats?

Hi All

I spotted a 280SL today while I was out cruseing with the top down. I am not sure of the year. The SL had the Euro bumpers and plade cloth seats and head rest. Are cloth seats standard on Euro models? I like the bumpers but not the seats.

My 83 280SL euro has the plaid cloth seats - it's unique, so I like it. They're quite worn and I wonder if I'll be able to replace with similar pattern when the time ($$$) comes. I've seen pictures of other euro models from that date range with the same pattern.

My 83 280 SL Euro has the tex interior. I'v never seen the plaid.

My interior is also the tex, the seats only have the plaid cloth down the middle as well as the entire headrest.

Our 280SL has blue plaid cloth on the seating surfaces, with a strip of solid blue Tex along the edges. I think they look great, and actually prefer cloth seats, especially for a non-airconditioned convertible.
