Added a 4x4 to the stable!
Bought my daughter's Suzuki Grand Vitara from her (at a good price to her - that's what fathers are for!), and she hands over tomorrow.
We were looking for a rain car to use for when the weather was too inclement to bring out the SL500, and to use when my wife goes somewhere creepy (ie, supermarket car parks) so she won't have to put her SLK in jeopardy. The 6-cyclinder Vitara has got rave reviews from almost everywhere. Why didn't I buy an ML and stay loyal to the brand? Price mainly. The older models weren't that good, and the new ones are depreciating like a lead balloon at sunset. Trouble is, this 1999 beauty might be too good to take to these places... might have to buy a cheap Japanese s/w . Where does it end!Ken Silver -------------- ~1993 SL500, glistening triple black, xenons: http://www.kensilver.com/SL ~1999 SLK 230 Kompressor, silver/black leather, CD, immaculate (my wife's) ~1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara. black & silver ~1991 Daimler, shiny grey/grey leather, best in country! ~ex 350SL, 230E, 280E, MX5 and a lot of other makes not nearly as nice. |
