Looking for a a/c compressor bracket for 1967 200D
I have tried researching on how I can buy a bracket for the a/c compressor. I have a 1967 200D which doesn't have a/c. I live in the Phoenix, AZ area and would like to put an a/c system in my car. I can buy an after market a/c system, but I have no way of securing the compressor in place. I know a bracket was made for the car, but have not been able to locate one. Can anyone help?

It should be the same assembly for any of the 4/5/6 cylinder cars (except the M189 and M110 6 cylinder gas motors).
There are two kinds of compressors out there for these cars. The factory thing is a big power hog compared to the other. Unlike my wife, I'm not a big A/C fan and just open the windows and the sunroof, so I tend to forget which names are which. I think Sanden is the good one. Searching for "Sanden conversion" here should get you good background info. -CTH |
