Switchgear for 114 250 m130
Hey guys I thought I would post this parts request for those of you out there that have converted to Petronix ignition modules.
I am in need of a transister (switch gear) for my 72' 250 and if you have made the "switch" then now is the chance to recover some of the $$ that you spent on the unit and sell the part that you dont need any more. I am in Spokane and there is a lack of used parts here. Plus the cost online for the part is the same for the Petronix. I would make the switch but the cost is prohibitive at this time. Thanks for the help Blue |

Switchgear
What caused it to fail? Usually, they fail from leaving the key in the run position, and the points are touching each other. After a few minutes, the Switchgear overheats and a the tranistor inside fails.
Have you checked the Ballast resistors? Is the Ground wire on points/dist plate still there?
