Looking for burgundy/brick red w123 first aid kit cover

I've never seen this color (but I haven't been looking long). Anyone got one? I'm also open to any other color as I could probably dye it. If it's black I could just use it as is I think.

spray paint

I bought some SEM spray paint (Palamino) and sprayed the cover and my two aftermarket speaker grills on the shelf. It took the spray paint just fine and looks decent.

Thanks for the tip! My wife and I used SEM on the SS, but then turned towards Duplicolor trim paint (since I was doing black) as it was half the price and held up better to my abuse. Our next choice is Krylon Fusion, but doubt I'll get something close in color.

Paint it!

My '85 came to me with a broken cover (shattered, really). I was able to buy a used compartment with lid and painted it. I think the compartment was black and only the lid was colored. I didn't want to risk breaking the 20-year-old lid (looks like it snapped onto the box when it was younger) so I masked off the box and painted the lid, inside and out.

First I used gray primer and then color, which I got by taking fragments of the old lid to a paint store and having them do a color match (it was blue). The match was excellent and the paint still looks good after one year. Just be patient.
