My buddy bought a rust bucket like this and drove it (in the snow) out to Sunny So. Cal. yanked the engine out and plopped it into his wife's 1984
300D sedan...

I went to look at the wagon's remains , not pretty it had gaping holes EVERYWHERE and he nearly froze to death driving it home...

I saw a nice turbo TD engine and was thinking of installing it into my old '80 300CD then retro - fitting the SLS in.......
