WTS: Misc. parts and custom body cuts from '83 300D
I still have a parts car I purchased several years ago for the drivetrain and a few odd and ends, but it's getting close to the time that I will cut it up in to pieces and scrap it. It was an Arizona car, and is remarkable rust free, but sadly wasn't water-proof when the college student that owned it moved to Washington State. Sun rot and then water intrusion means the upholstery is pretty much dead, so you can rule out most of those parts as available.
Collision damage ruined the tail panel and trunk. The hood is wavy from what I can only guess were a few sessions as an impromptu dance floor. Driver front and passenger rear door have damaged skins, but the other two seem to be in fine condition. Off the top of my head, major parts that are unavailable or very damaged include: Engine, rear end, axles, trunk, rear bumper, rear seat bottom frame, radiator support, tail lamps. Since the car is being completely cut up, I am willing to slice out custom cuts. The jack points and floor pans are in good condition, (Remember, it spent most of its life in Arizona), and it would be a shame to recycle them with all the rusty cars on the road that could use them. Just ask if you need something. The worst I can say is that I don't have it, or it's too screwed up to be worth anything to you. Pictures of individual parts and areas can be supplied on request. |
Driver's fender?

Hi! Is the hood pad salvageable?
|
Message sent regarding the fender.
Hood pad is a little droopy at the front, and probably holding a few pounds of oil. The car did come with one of those new waffle-lookin' pads rolled up in the trunk, however. It has no heat shield over the turbo, and I kind of want to use more advanced sound dampening. You're welcome to it, but I am not sure how bad shipping might be. |

I am going to get you some pictures of the metal sections I need and post soon
Hopefully you might be able to cut out this key pieces to put my untreated euro wagon back together. These will all be from the passenger front seat floor - forward to inner fender that side Please PM me if I don't post back soon Thanks for this offer! |
If I was on your side of the water I'd be after the floor pan.
If you get to cut parts out will be taking gynecological pictures? These might be interesting for folks who might be thinking "I wonder how that was made". |
