For Sale: W116 Euro Bumpers

This is a set of bumpers removed from a Euro-spec 1979 W116 450SE. This will fit all Euro W116s, and will fit the USA models with some modification to replace the larger bumpers. By some modification, I mean you cut off the adapter bracket that is welded to the body of the USA cars, fill in the two holes on the sides of the fenders for the front bumper--and then for the rear bumper, cut off the four studs on each side of the body and install a single bolt in the center.

Overall, this bumper set is very nice and the chrome is bright. Having spent much of its life in the Arizona desert, there is only a little rust, which is confined to the insides. There are some bends and dents.


I have included the special plastic valance grilles, which don't have the notches cut in them on the sides to fit the bumper shocks. They are complete and unbroken except for the tabs on one where they fit at the center.


The front bumper has two round dents up front. One is directly under the right side overrider, and one is more toward the center on the left side. The overriders have some small dents.

I am including the often-forgotten filler piece that goes behind the front bumper.

The rear bumper appears to be dent-free except underneath where it appears someone tried to pull the car and put a hook on the weak part of the bumper, which bent it out in a few places.







I'd like $425 plus shipping ($100-$150?) or local pickup from Arizona, 85043, USA. Due to the size and weight of these bumpers, I think I am only able to ship them within the USA and Canada.
