WTB: M104 3.0 engine
Looking for a complete M104 3.0 engine in running condition. Even better if it includes the motor wiring harness and ECU from the corresponding car (300E-24, 300CE-24, 300SL-24, 300TE-24).
Thank you for viewing.

I have a complete 1996 e320 with the M104.99, but it is higher miles 217K miles your interested.
It is 3.2 l and produces 220HP. It's still in a somewhat driveable car. I say somewhat, as it needs a new control arm due to rust.

KE-jet M104 and the HFM M104 are quite a bit different, but someone else may know better than I if you can put the distributor and the different manifolds on a 3.2L cylinder head.

No need to change intake manifold,,, I can provide complete engine with engine wire harness, ECU, air cleaner etc., but if it won't work for you, it won't work,,,

Here is a pic of the 3.0-24 V engine intake side of the head .
The M104 3.2 and 3.6 AMG have a round port. I'm pretty sure the exhaust manifold pattern is the same, and I know that early M104 3.2 has cast manifolds while later ones has welded steel. I'd be real tempted to use a M104 3.2 and wiring / computer from an analog body. 97 was CAN bus and electronic shift trans , not sure about 96. Be aware that oil pans are different between some bodies. Some of the sunps are pushed back a few inches while others are fully forward. The pan on the 3.0 - 24 might fit since it has a double row chain liek the M104 ( the standard M103 3.0 12 V had a single row chain and the pan made to clear this setup. ) |
