1986 W124 103 3.0 300E OE/Factory 5-Speed Swap Kit
Greetings! First post, I'm mostly a Volvo guy, but I repaired these as a general mechanic.
Was referred here by NO_SPRK (not sure if he is all caps or what his user name is exactly). So many sub-forums here. Good god! Anyway, I have a feedback thread on the Volvo board, it isn't quite white glove perfectly clean but nothing unresolved, no one trying to chase me down for anything paid and/or not as described. Anyway, feedback thread from there HERE (can't view as guest maybe, or maybe just can't post, not sure?). Now to the particulars: 5-speed manual transmission and most all associated conversion parts (that I know of) from 1986 300E smashed hard in the passenger side rear quarter panel (rear suspension bent up, car damaged beyond any reasonable repair cost, but nice otherwise). 238K miles, some records, nearly brand new clutch! Includes: -5-speed manual transmission (will get the exact number code off the case when I move the pictures from the camera to the big computer tonight). -5-speed trans mount cross member and bolts and exhaust bracket. -Near new Sachs clutch with the MB star right on the PP and disc, disc at near new thickness, flywheel and PP surface look decent. Flywheel and clutch bolts all included. -OE 124/103 Driveline front to back not separated. Will mark conspicuously and separate if shipping. It's very looooooong. Rubber flex discs look decent, one looks replaced. Driveline bolts and lock nuts all included. -Pedal box/clutch brake pedal assembly. Clutch & Brake pedal pads worn, but pivots and raw mechanical parts in good condition. Cruise control switches included, but untested (I never use it). -Clutch master & New slave & release arm a year or so old done with the clutch. -Clutch hydraulic line and bracketry. Hose from brake reservoir to slave should maybe be replaced, it's a little dissolved. Looks like it'd make a mess in the cabin if it did finally fail (not that it has any pressure on it obviously). -Brake reservoir from donor car (even though you can just cut the nipple end off of yours likely) -Shifter linkage rods (most of the donut bushings are wasted) with special funny looking e-clips. -Shift lever/box, bushings worn a bit (replaceable I think?). Shift knob decent. Bolts for lever box. -Boot/"wood" insert for center of the dash/console, no switches, couple small rips in the boot itself. Not included: Neutral safety switch loop (stupid me forgot about it, sorry). Reverse lamp switch. $1050+ actual shipping cost. Shipping this shouldn't be difficult or crazy expensive for what it is...$100-150ish coming from 97220 (west coast) all the way across. - Last edited by Fridgewagon; 03-15-2016 at 11:31 AM. |
