WTB - 240D set of injector hardlines

One of mine is leaking, thinking I'll need a new set to make them fit properly?
I live in the LA area if anyone is local.

Did you try loosening it and torqueing no more than the max? Sometimes being slightly over torqued will cause a leak.

I haven't actually. Do you know what the torque specs are? edit: (25nm, found it)
I'll give that a shot...

The hard steel - high pressure lines are very finicky...too much torque and they can leak.

If you go to 25nM and you still have a leak, then you can loosen again and see what happens if you go a hair over. I know that is "over-torqued" but if the PO over torqued them then it may just be a situation where you have to go over a hair to see if the leak goes away.

It may. However, if its way over torqued, you may need to get a different line. I would remove / loosen and try again with correct torque. I would invest in one of those funky sockets by Snap-On which sort of looks like an O2 sensor socket. That way you can get the best possible reading.

Thanks Mark, it was worth a shot... no joy however. Will need to replace that line, I'm afraid.

Do you have all of the little metal clamps installed, that bind the hard lines to one another? They are there to reduce vibration from the injection pulses. Without them, the hard lines vibrate, and eventually crack and leak, usually near the ends.

That is exactly what happened. After changing glow plugs, one of the clamps fell off while driving. Guess I failed to tighten it enough. It was probably off for a few days before I noticed and replaced it.
