Mercedes OEM side markers were standard on most European Spec cars in the mid 90s+. The US CLK (98-99) has similar markers but rounded. Today most highend cars in the US have this feature standard. These were the 2nd to last generation of fender mounted side markers before the signals were moved to the mirrors. They feature a clear lens that will match the clear Euro corner lamps. Not only will these give you car the Euro-Look but will increase safety as they blink when you signal. These rectangular turn-signal lamps were mounted to the front fenders of many 90s+ Mercedes straight from the factory (W124, W202, W201, R129, W140, and W126). They are in excellent condition and are quality items. This item IS NOT available from US dealers; these were bought NEW in Europe. This set comes with 2 OEM European Rectangular Clear Side Marker lamps and 2 matching hyper white 194 bulbs and (W124) Template Cutout and measurements for installation. Wiring harness and bulb holder is sold separately and can be ordered from MB Dealer (CLK 98-99 parts) for cheap. Installation is involved but I will provide instructions (cutting into body is required). I will let these rare Euro Side-marker set go for $55. Please email me at W124EVO@YAhoo.com if you have any questions. This is a great OEM EURO upgrade that will increase safety, uniqueness and style!

I will post actual pics later...but go to http://www.mbsca.com/eclass.htm and scroll down to see the side markers on the W124 pics posted. I am selling ones identical to the clear ones you see. The template is made of cardboard and will designate the exact size, shape and location of the hole that needs to be cut to install these (measurments are from Euro Car) on the fenders. Hope this helps!

These are the ones with the part # 202 xxx xx xx (rare clear rectangular ones). They do not come with bulb/holder-wiring, but the 98-99 CLK parts available at the dealer will work a %100.
ebennz- If you could post a picture of your nice white W124 with this mod that would be great! |

What makes you think they have W201 part numbers? The ones mentioned here carry a 202 part number and the euro side markers for the W124 carry a W124 part number.
I have NEVER seen a Euro or Japanese W201 with side markers but I do have one specific W201 bible, which is more or less just a collection of magazine reviews, 90% of them show new W201's with NO side blinkers (both left and right hand drive examples) and there is just a couple of articles that do show side blinkers, one is a 16 valve with some sort of large side blinker (probably aftermarket) and a couple of others with side blinkers. From what I understand (or should I say been told) some dealers were installing these side blinkers in their shops, which would explain why only a few of the cars in the articles have the blinkers (or they could of been aftermarket, no way to tell for sure) Of all the W201 euro MB literature I have seen, the W201 is shown without side markers, this is US, German, Aust. and Italian factory MB literature. If you know of specific exceptions or why some models might have had side blinkers directly from MB, then please share the info. Last edited by 2phast; 03-02-2004 at 09:09 PM. |

I thought this was the post on the sportline badges that FA22 is also selling, those in deed have 201 part numbers. My mistake, sorry rik.
