Parting out a 280CE

I've two 280CEs and am restoring one of them, so I have a number of parts that I don't need and would like to sell or trade. The CE that I'm parting out is white and has a black interior. The CE that I'm restoring is dark blue and has a blue Euro cloth interior.

I'm pulling the Euro interior and moving the black interior into the blue CE unless I can find either a palomino or bamboo interior to trade for.

Both 280 engines are going and one is a runner with manual flywheel. It had a 5 speed tranny which I'm keeping. The runner has 137327 miles on it. The bad engine has a knock and had only 91xxx miles and has a automatic tranny.

Both CEs have the euro heater controls.

If you need parts for coupes let me know.

Engines aren't being pulled until August because of other commitments.

Do you have another 5 speed manual?

I would trade you the black for palamino, but I decided not to go through with my AMG recaro interior swap. I sold the seats.

Interior swap

Omegabenz,

Are you saying that you got rid of the Recaro seats and have an entire palomino interior that you'd swap??? If so I'd definitely go for it and since my coupe isn't operrative yet, I could start sending you components and once they're installed in your coupe, you'd send me yours. How does that sound?

I now have a coupe with a five speed and a 280TE with a five speed. The 280TE is so much fun, I'm going to drive a gasser until the coupe is finsihed and then dieselize the 280TE. What a rush. The darn thing on my first ecomony test got 21.97 MPG and believe me I wasn't babying it. So I'll have to inhale gas fumes for awhile. First gear is 43 , second is 54mph, third is 94, and fourth is 124, fifth is 120. Still trying to get my eyebrows back in place!!!!!

I'll get back to you on 5 speeds in August. I'll almost certainly have good news.

I am no longer needed a black 300CD interior.

Let me check with my friend about the palamino interior for you. He may have something. Ill email you tomorrow.

Are the plastic parts of both cars black?
If so I may be interested in the "mouldings" under the steering wheel.

Or, well...I have one... This is what I want (ignore the red circle...)

Offer sounds good. I looked at it last night and it looks like one just disconnects the rubber mounts, large rubber hose and metal injector lines. I'll give it a try this afternoon and if you'll send me your address and telephone number, we'll firure the FedEx charges as they're the cheapest but they require a telephone number. The car was a runner but very rusted out and I wanted the Euro bumpers, etc. If you think of anything else, let me know.

Parting out a 300D, too.

I didn't think to mention earlier but I'm also parting out a 300D. Had a great engine but paint severely faded so we transplanted the engine to a 240D.

So I also have lots and lots of interior parts like wood grain pieces, door latches, window glass, first aid kits, at least one yellow fog light, etc.

What do you need?

Lightbulb Yellow fog light?

Have you promised the fog light yet? How much?

I also need the "male" part of the seat belt buckle. Two of mine have broken on the small plastic "loop" on the back. Are yours in good shape? And lastly, I need a front dome light.
