simple but important question
Recently noticed that the valve caps on my 2 front tires were missing. Query:
What real purpose do these plastic caps serve? WQhen they are missing, do apless valves lose any air pressure - even on a slow basis?

I believe they are mostly to keep dust and moisture out of the valve stem.
