I think I am crazy - do I clean my wheels too often?

My ex-girlfriend used to complain about me paying too much attention to my car.

My parents are telling me that I clean my car too often

Now my neighbor joked around that I will scrub off the finish on my wheels if I keep cleaning it.

I clean my wheels every morning. I don't want the brake dust to stain the wheels. I figured I spent a lot of money on the wheels, I should keep it clean (only takes me 10 minutes for all 4). As far as the whole car, I clean it every weekend and wax/polish it about every month or two. Am I crazy? How often do you clean your wheels and your car?

I clean my car AT LEAST once a week. I wash it whenever it gets dirty. I clean those wheels a few times a week :-p

yes.. my friends think I'm crazy too. One jokes that the paint of my car will eventually come off too from the washing/waxing.

Hi,
you are not alone.
I clean my wheel everyday or everytime I see those pesky brake dust on the front wheels.
I clean the whole car only when it is really dirty. Maybe after 3-4 days.
When my wheels were stock, I really did not care about them. But I just got those Brabus 6 and they cost a lot.
Also I think more people are looking at the car with the new wheels so I clean it always.

When can Mbenz make a stock clean brake pads?

I clean my wheels at least twice a week and wash my car when it gets dirty.

I usually don't go more than 2 weeks without washing it but if it is rainy, then I end up washing it about every week. I also keep a cover on it.

I think these guys are around 25 years old or less. When you get older (30+), you will have many more things to care about instead of wasting your time on a big chunk of metal.
