Rear Problem

Pinion gear in the rear is bad. Noise is getting louder............What kind of money will it cost to repair the rear. Is getting a new pumpkin installed cheaper? Do they sell rebuilt rears ? I can't believe it went bad with only 103,500 miles...........Would MB help with the cost ? ...........I have had $3500 in repairs in the last three years..........(thank God for extended warranties ) I keep thinking thast I am restoring a 1998 ml 320 .......Serenity Now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to make things worst I just bought a 2005 C 240 4 matic................... Any Ideas???????????????????teacher :
