Question Aftermarket Exhaust Headers?

I'm looking to install some high performance larger diameter exhaust headers on my 1999 ML430. I have a Kleemann kompressor already and I'm looking into getting their prototype headers for my vehicle but out of curiosity I wonder if there are other off-the-shelf options available out there? I checked out Borla and their site has nothing. Has anyone done this mod? Also, What are your recommendations regarding high flow cats or upgraded resonators to reduce vibration in the cabin? I have the supersprint muffler and quad tail pipes and I'm fine with a louder set up to get the most horses I can get.

I just talked to them and I'm waiting for a call back from the guy who is working on headers for a 163. They have them for the C and CLKs and SL's right now but for an ML it is new for them if it in fact exists. If I lived in Cali they would just do one custom for me. Anyway, I'm going to get their high flow cats and two new resonators but I'll go with the Kleemann headers if they get them done this year...still waiting to hear back from Denmark!

Unhappy Mike just called. They don't have any headers for MLs...not enough demand!!

The M112 engine is shared by some C-class models, I believe. The fact that your application is for the ML platform is irrelevant.

If they offer V-6 C-class versions, they might work.

Cool I'd be surprised if the exhaust header tubes are the same for all Mercedes

4.3L V-8s. If this is the case then there are no headers available for any 4.3L V-8 Mercedes, sedan, coupe or otherwise. If this is NOT the case, and I DO know there isn't one for the ML430, then the logical conclusion is that the ML430 exhaust headers are two unique parts in the MB line-up. Evosport told me they have nothing for the ML430 in this regard, but they clearly have product for other MB models, presumably V-8s but maybe just for sixes... I did not ask that question.

If anyone knows of another outlet of possibility I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks.

Headers and their application have little to do with the enging and EVERYTHING to do with the chasis. As any muscle car guy will tell you, bolting tubes to the head is the easy part, it is clearing everything else (starter, trans., framerails, cooling lines, transfer cases, firewall, etc.) that is the hard part. I would not try to take a C class header and bolt it on an M-Class.

oops, i was thinking m113 but typed 112 cause mine is a wee little 6er. evosport makes some nice headers for m113 e/clk class engines. maybe yhou should look for w210 e55 headers? i think the ml engine bay is big enough to fit e class pipes? good luck with your search
