my girl friend was driving the benz today it is a 2000 ml 320 and she said while she was driving suddenly the lights came on it was the etc , abs and maybe some thing else too, and the car strted to make a loud noise , shwe pulled over turned the car off and on couple of times and everything was fine. i wondering if anyone had the same problem and knows how to fix it. thanks

Do a search in this forum (upper right corner) and type ETS. This should provide many threads for you read through and hopefully diagnose your problem. In alot of the threads, the culprit was a brake light switch. Good luck!

Brake light switch for me as well.
