Fair price for 85 Diesel G-Wagen???

I have an opportunity to buy a pristine 85 Turbo Diesel G-wagen With 88k. What would a fair price be for that? NADA lists it high retail at 25k, Average retail at 17k. If you need more info let me know! Thanks!

Turbo is an aftermarket option in the G; and, as such, reduces the value to me. I wouldn't pay more than $15k and most likely less.

The owner is going to call me sometime in the next few weeks. I want to inspect the vehicle a little closer. I just saw him at the gas station last night and I didn't realize that it was diesel until I got up to it and heard it. He has been keeping it garaged for the last few years. This one was an import from Europa. It has a tropical roof, Leather seats, full brush bar and winch. Jump seats in the back. It is Automatic though. Do these options upgrade the value?

Somewhat. I can put you in contact with a turbo-diesel G owner, if you'd like to get his opinion. It's a 5-speed manual cabrio, but there are still probably some good comparisons.
