Ml 320 - Cranking but do not start?

Hi everyone, it's happened several times with my 2000 ML 320. The car usually start right up but lately it's cranking but do not start, but if i tried to start and waited for 10-15 mins, the car starts right away. This problem happens again about couple days later, then I have to do the same procedure, and the car will start after 10-15 mins trying. I have heard that this problem may be caused because the crank position sensor is bad, is it true? Please advise, thanks for your inputs.

Welcome to the forum, MOST common problem on the M112 V-6 engines for that problem is the flywheel position sensor.

you can read my thread (Subject: ML320 2000 model). Basically, I replaced the Crank Shaft angle sensor. Problem kept happening, troubleshooting at the Merc dealer started with Fuel pump and fuel pump relay, then lead to Electrical connections, the problem was finally diagnosed as a faulty Wiring HArness on the Engine Main management Unit. Just got my car back after spending a week at the dealers and I'm hoping problem is gone away. They seemed confident that it's gone.
