Go to MB dealer and ask them to run your vin and they should be able to see, that is if it was done by a dealer.

New updated fuel pump/filter

You can look on top of the frame ahead of the rear wheel on the driver's side. the new system will have a pressure regulator built into the fuel filter lines. A photo of this filter is at:
www.peachparts.com/shopforum/attachment.php?attachmentid=14325.

You will have to pull up the fender innershield a little bit to get a look at the filter. Basically, if you see a line that looks like it wraps around the filter, you have the new set up.

Regards,

Jim in Phoenix

I thought the retrofit only involved pre '00 models?

they all have the fuel pressure regulator, even the old style, the new one is several inches longer than the old one, the above link shows the new longer style

Fuel pump retrofit for ML

Was this a factory recall retrofit, or is it at the owners expense?? Your reply would be greatly appreciated. Love this forum!

not a factory recall. Depends on your relationship with the dealer, you may get it for free or at a partial cost. I paid a partial cost to get mine done.
