300GE Performance Problem

When I rev in neutral there is one spot between 1500 and 2000 rpm where the engine misses, if I floor it you can clearly feel the choking and delay in acceleration and sometimes it backfires. Under load its terrible but once it passes 1500 to 2000 RPM spot it is ok. Also cut off everytimes i come to a stop if I don't give it some gas. I already replace the overload protection relay but nothing. I need to try the fuel pump now but I don't have one yet because the 300GE is the only vehicule that uses this relay. Thanks for your feedback.
