Ride height adjustment
It seems that the front right side of my ml320 is a little lower than the left. I have searched and it seems that the adjusting bolt at the back end of the torsion bar needs to be turned clockwise to raise it. I cannot find any reference as to how many full turns might be needed to raise one inch. Any direction is appreciated.

A one inch difference in ride height from one side to the other is quite a lot. Are you sure the ride height problem is not a symptom of another problem with the suspension? You should not have to make such a huge adjustment.

ML 320 Ride Height
I'm bringing this thread back from '07... I have a 2000 ML320, recently brought to dealership for an alignment (slight pull to the right with left front inner tire wear). Dealer performed alignment and a ride height adjustment.
When I picked up the truck I thought of not taking it - the front wasn't sagging to begin with, but when I saw the truck it had at least an 1" difference in front suspension height as compared to the rear. Looks dumb as it's noticeably higher than the rear. When I dropped off for alignment front gap between tire and fender flare were about the same looking totally normal. Now to the question - can anyone please supply me with the MB factory ride height range and the MB specified method for measuring to these specifications? I think they are out of their minds if they think I'm leaving it this way. I've seen the link to how to adjust ride height for front - but no specs and no mention as to measurement as per MB specs. I'd like to confirm this adjustment is within spec's. Thanks for the help! |
