Don't believe that. The prior owner of my 123 took his car for a valve adjustment job on the OM616.912 and after 400.00, the car was barely driveable.


That's how I ended up buying it. The PO wanted no more hassle at 79.


I paid the former owner what he wanted for the car, redid the valves, then thanked the service manager of the local MB dealership for helping me get the car.


He was not amused. Especially since I went in a suit and did it in front of one of the dealership owners.


Hey, if you don't like it, shave my head and send me to Vietnam.
