Leaking red fluid a lot!

Hi, My 1998 ML320 has started leaking a red fluid yesterday in my driveway. I'm thinking its tranny fluid anyone think otherwise? It looks like its coming from a pan underneath just behind the motor. Its left two different puddles since yesterday. Nearest dealer is 180 miles away.Any thoughts would be great thanks in advance.

yes.. it is transmission fluid.

Check the pan for any visual cracks or dents that could have came from road debris.

Leaking red fluid and no cracks or dents in the pan...

I inspected the pan for cracks or dents and did not find anything. The fluid seems to be coming from where the pan attaches to the tranny, Bad Gasket maybe? Any ideas? Cost?

The 5-speed transmissions all eventually leak at an electrical connector at the right front. It's a $15 dollar fix.
