ML270 2002 error codes help
Just had the local dealer read the error codes for me.
Code: P0100-001 B2/5 (Hot film mass air flow sensor) The signal voltage is too low. This is just one of several codes stored... Vehicle went into limp mode last week... (that's why I took it to have codes read.) No mention of any problems with transmission on the printout of error codes. My question is this... Is the mass air flow sensor the same for the diesel engine as it is for the petrol engine.? According to the printout the mass air flow sensor in my car is referred to as: B2/5 I had a look at the russian mercedes web site and the part number of the mass air flow sensor for my model (ML270 cdi ) is: 611 094 0 048 Is this the same part I see for sale on various web sites in the USA where you mostly drive petrol engined ML's... ? Looking forward to your comments/input/advice. regards |

Gas & Diesel air mass sensors will not interchange.
611-094-00-48 lists for $100 & does fit many MB Sprinter vans here.

Many thanks...
My dealer quoted me $500 - $600 AUD for the part (no labour) which converts to $338 - $405 USD |

Error Code Print out from dealer attached
ML270 cdi 2002 (Australian) 120,000 kms (approx 70,000 miles)
I've attached some of the printout from the dealer, and was wondering if anyone would care to enlighten me as to what it means. The reason for the Error code scan was bought about when the vehicle went into limp mode twice last month. I'd like to attach the entire print out, but size restrictions on this web site prohibit my doing so. There were other errors stored on the printout, but nothing regarding transmission. Appreciate any input at all regards |

The chassis C1100 can cause many problems including the trans into "limp" mode.
The code C1140 is common when the battery gets weak or disconnected.
