Guys,
I have the following error codes on my 1999 ML 320

PO170 Bank 1

I changed the MAF last November when it failed but havent changed the air filter (my bad) the airfilter is an K&N oil based performance filter

I think the MAF is blown again. Could you guys please help it the later 2 codes (po700 and po720) are because of the failed MAF ?/
Thanks in Advance
PS I have a strore All european Auto Supply Inc in Detroit(http://www.alleuro.com/) that seels the BOSC MAF ?? is it good for my Truck

The MB MAF is a Bosch unit.

Get rid of that K&N Oiled Air Filter if you don't want to have to change MAF's every few thousand miles.

Looks like they're transmission related. Generic Codes are as follows:

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction

P0720 Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction

M.B. DOC can probably shed more MB specific light on these.

Common issue with the 722.6 trans.

There is a plastic plate ON the valve body that has the speed sensor embedded in it.

Called the conductor plate, MB part number 140-270-08-61 at MB list of $250.

Takes a good tech 1.5-2 hrs to install.
