speedometer cable problem - automatic to manual conversion on Sprinter 308D

Hi all

I have a Sprinter 308D from '96

It orginially came with an automatic gearbox, but its former owner modded it to a manual. But he couldn't get the speedometer or odometer to work.
Originally the cable went into the push-button controler board, and then from there through a big wiring harness into the cluster. Now, there is no controler board anymore so its two plugs are left disconnected.

Is there anyone here that would know how the speedometer hooks up to the cluster, at which pin? I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance!
