I found a 2008 ML 550 for sale that I want to look at today. It's got the equivalent of 100k miles on it... What to look for on it?? I have a basic obd scanner. Wondering what things to look for before taking it and paying for a PPI?

In addition to OBD, and general check of car, check for:


1. Oil seepage at rear of cylinder heads ($$$$$$)
2. TCM trans control module is known to fail early ($$$)
3. SRS light may go on, may need sensor, dunno.


Good luck, that's all I know about. Plus check with dealer for recalls
