Hi All This is my first post since I just purchased my G wagon. My G was not driving more 5 mph it is auto box 1994 G300D very slow. So I changed my transmition fluid and filter it is lot better smooth gear change but the issue is no reverse it jerks hard before going in. When the car is cold it will go in reverse as soon it is warmed up, have to rev high but no reverse. my gearbox code is 722.399 ive just purchased a used 722.32 incase the box need changing.

This is a know issue with the 722.3 transmissions. The pump starts to wobble then you lose reverse, next you lose 1st gear. The trans needs to be rebuilt with a new pump and likely reverse, 1st, and second gear clutch packs. I had to do this on my 1995 G320.
