Talking Door Seal information

Hi everybody, I am new here.

I purchased a 99 ML320 last September having just moved to the USA from Australia. I am very impressed with the car.

I have been follwing some of the threads here about door seals but I don't understand which seals you are all talking about.

I do have some wind noise coming in from above the driver's side back door, could this be cured by fitting a new rubber seal?

The only problem I have had with the vehicle was a replacement driver's window switch which was fitted by MB roadside assistance at my house on a 95 degree Friday evening when the window wouldn't close. They came within one hour of the call, that is excellent service in my opinion.

On another discussion about tires, I have just replaced the original General Grabbers at 35000 miles with 4 Pirelli Scorpions. They seem a better tire and despite having a slightly more aggressive tread pattern, are a quieter ride than the original tires. Also, they have a slightly more rigid sidewall which improves the handling. They are really good in the very heavy rains we get down here in the bayou!

Thanks for letting me share my experiences so far, I think that I should buy my wife a Benz now as well.
