Rear SAM protected

I have mounted my SAM unit on the outside of the rear cover away from moisture due to notorious leaks.

It is part of the electrical systems functioning on contemporary MBs. Water sensitive circuit boards used in conjunction with the vehicle’s computer. Right rear SAM area is in the wheel well. Due to faulty taillight lens and taillight gasket fixative (and who knows what other defects), wet rear SAM units shut down your turn signals, gas gauge, lock system, windshield wipers and a bunch of other crap.

My SAM malfunctioned with the gas gauge not working. As soon as it dried out all was well. No problems since.

No problems so far. It’s dry and should be good to function. At least it is dry.
