B Service on 98 ML320

Hello,

On my 98 ML320 with 74000 every time I start the engine I get a little tool with 2000 countdown. I called my dealer, he suggested B service. After finding out the B service is $350, I decided to do it myself. Is it hard? Is there anything special that is required to be done by the dealer? If not, and I can do this myself. How do I reset the FSS?

Thank you.

Do you still have the booklet that came with the 320? All of your questions can be answered there. If you don't have it, I can type it up when I get home. BTW, I posted the procedure to reset FSS for MY02(don't know if it is the same as for MY98) here in another thread, do a search and you'll find it.

The FSS reset procedure is in your owner's manual...

...if you choose not to do the other recommended service items, PLEASE don't skip the fluid changes!
