The current factory plug is in effect Bosch Platinum anyways, I believe the price is competitive with buying them aftermarket, but this way you know they are the correct heat range and are the recommended plug.
It could be that the parts guy didn't realize that the spark plug number is listed on the EPC. The Bosch number isn't on the box, either it's on EPC or he could take a plug out of the box and look.
The tool that MB lists for removing the spark plug boot is the 17mm wrench that is used for 110 engine valve adjustment.

No one else has mentioned it but you can probably get them from either PartsShop or FastLane. These are stores maintained by the owners of this web site, and you can select them from the top of the page. They offer a nice discount and excellent service. So save some $$ help a sponsor and make life a little easier on your self!

Just thought I'd mention it DUTCH in case someone owns a vehicle with a 112/113 motor, wants to replace spark plugs, orders the tool and "*DUH* I already OWN a valve adjusting wrench for a 110 motor".

Well, sure they'll tell you that you CAN use them. I'm not saying the engine won't run on these plugs, but it may be wiser to use the recommended sparkplug.

No special tool is required to replace the plugs, but the tool mentioned previously to take the wires off the plug make the job alot easier. Other than that just the regular sparkplug socket and ratchets with a few extensions to make the job easier.
No I don't suggest you replace the wires, i am STILL suggesting the recommended spark plug though.

I don't see the point of saving $10-$20 while doing a 100k mile job, while I am in the process of being laid off.
